Sarah Keeney

Sarah Keeney is Associate Artistic Director and B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Outreach Program Director. She began celebrating life with movement at the age of three. In addition to Class Act Dance (her second home while growing up in Paso Robles), Sarah has trained at numerous schools including San Francisco Academy of Performing Arts, Marin Dance Theater, Sydney Dance Company, California Ballet Santa Monica, and APA in San Diego. While attending the University of California, San Diego, Sarah earned her BA in Psychology and was heavily involved with the competition dance team and the dance department. In 2004, she was honored with the first Dance Faculty Award for Performance and Choreography.

After graduating, Sarah has balanced her life between performing, teaching and traveling. In addition to her involvement with Xdrop, Sarah has performed with Jean Issacs, Pat Rincon Dance Collective, Project 423, Off The Grid, and Bound Contemporary Dance throughout California and also south of the border (Tijuana, Mexicali, San Miguel de Allende, and Mexico City). Sarah has enjoyed three years of working with Viejas Productions, performing Legend of the Ice Princess. In 2005, Sarah’s choreography was comissioned by the University Art Gallery, UCSD. Sarah has taught steadily at All Star Dance Studio, La Jolla Country Day High School and was a guest Master Class Instructor for the SDSU Competition Dance Team. As BRIDGES Director, she has been honored to teach movement classes in San Diego and recently in Guatemala.
