On the road...

Let our lives be open books

Street performing in Times Square was interesting. Sarah performed “The Next Adaptation” in the path of oncoming foot traffic. The piece is about letting go of addiction/denial so it fit against the huge tv screens, annoying billboards, the gagging stench of piss, streams of neon and clusterfuck of noise and pollution. Consumer Hell. We were [...]

Our Brooklyn show was sold out! We enjoyed seeing people sitting along the sides of the black box, standing and encroaching upon us. The cast and crew were awesome… Gigi and Steven kicked ass with an hour of tech for all 4 choreographers. The space was so hot and humid..we got ready outside the theatre. [...]

Leaving the humid heat for more humid heat wasn’t so hard to do… we left Cleveland, OH and headed to Niagara Falls City, Canada. The falls were beautiful and packed with tourists. In such a potentially spiritual place, the coffee cups and cell phones were distracting. Still, we took photos like everyone else. Stopped [...]

This is kind of hard to write…we’re sitting in the middle of a high school pep rally held in a library..It is annoyingly good to be around these spirited teens…here we go…
April, Lily and Sarah began the last leg of our Art for Peace Tour last week. Many thanks to all those who donated, in [...]

If all goes well with our van (which is in the shop), Sarah, Lily and April leave tomorrow for Northern California…we’ve got a few new shows booked, one in Cleveland, Ohio with huge thanks to Rachel who found out about us somehow and worked very hard to get us a gig in her town. The [...]

Tanya, Claudia and April will be embarking on the new journey with us. Lily has been invited as a returning guest on [...]

Tucson, AZ- chillin’ with good friend Thor!!!
Thoughts on trip so far…
What we did not accomplish: no deep fried twinkies, Sarah did not find her cowboy husband, couldn’t find cheap river rafting, we did not save the world through dance and gas is now $4/gallon.
From here in Tucson we are headed back to [...]

Showed up in the blaring heat of Albuquerque and due to finances, we checked into the Imperial Hotel, ghetto, but affordable. The nights were filled with drug deals in the parking lot and the air conditioning blaring in the room. Good times… Wild Dancing West Festival almost killed us. At 6500 feet high in [...]

Great news..we got word that our friend whom we sent our camera chip to (with all our 250 deleted photos) was able to retrieve all but 15 of them. We’ll post them on our site soon!

A lot has happened since we last wrote an entry… we headed to Indianapolis to see Sarah’s cousins for a few days… had great cajun food in Louisville, Kentucky… met Rick at Past Perfect in Nashville, TN which was the one bar that didn’t feel like a sleazy Elvis gift/crap shop with bouncers howlin at [...]
