Universal Fight

Some of the best revolutionaries
Were ordinary people
Like you and me
Some of the movements
Too great to have been lost in history
Are expanding in their belief
That we have no borders
No rules
No personal gain
No criminals
No deception
No one to hurt
No one to blame
When did all these political burdens
Become ours to fix?
Our immediate families
Are not our only ones to take care of
We’re only as strong as the sick
I’ll tell you some things
If you just take the time
To reach out of what you think you know
Out of your culture’s dominance
Money can’t go with you to the end
Money is just paper representing success
By what you are defined
Is what you’ve got to ask
When no one is watching
Do you still like to dance?
People are here to stand up for their rights
Our freedoms of choice
And this gift
This innocent child of life
Is dancing the universal language
In this universal fight
Won’t you join in
Cause we’re here to play this again
We’re hearing you
Can I get a hallelujah and an amen?
Some of the best revolutionaries
Were ordinary people
Like you and me
