Each day is so intense…

Each day is so intense… The hotter the weather gets, the less movement I can extract from the girls. Even climbing up the stairs seems strenuous. The climate feels like a sauna. The free time that I do have with them is during their lunch break from school, the hottest part of the day. All the girls want to do is laze around the terrace (which i completely understand). As well, the pressure is on for us to spend every spare moment picking lice out of their hair. It’s a constant battle against those damned parasites. The problem is we spend hours upon hours picking the bugs from the girls’ heads and then the other kids that come to school from the aldeas (neighboring villages) are covered in them. It’s really frustrating for the kids and for the volunteers. Not much happening on the dance front.
