The days bounce between seemingly impossible to euphoric. The girls are starting to trust me a bit more and relying on me for things, which is an amazing feeling for me. My hope is that as their trust and interest in me grows, they will also be interested in learning something new. Today I was able to hold the attention of the younger girls for almost an entire twenty minutes. We played follow the leader, taking turns as the leader. They had fun making up different movements and being silly until Nancy (one of the older, very controling girls) came in and made fun of them. Suddenly it was mahem once again. It’s amazing to me how much rage and beauty each girl contains. They go from normal, playing children to destructive monsters within seconds.
